Join Solvd Together as a Team Assistant / Office Manager (part time)

 

Since we launched Solvd Together a little over a year ago, we have grown from 2 directors to having 8 permanent and contract employees. So, we now find ourselves needing help with a number of important tasks. 

 

 

As a Team Assistant / Office Manager, you need to have a mix of good experience dealing with practical tasks and great social skills as you will become the social centre of our team. 

 

You will need all-round experience with administrative tasks such as maintaining team timesheets, bookkeeping, and invoicing, and practical tasks such as proof-reading client correspondence and presentations. You will also be asked to help schedule meetings and events, travel and similar. 

 

It is equally important that you have the social skills to help us grow a great caring team. Due to Covid we currently do not have an office, and all our team members work from home. This will change later in the year, but for now, we do everything online. 

 

Because of this, we need you to help arrange our team events, online lunches, meetings, parties, and generally check-in and ensure all team members are happy and engaged. 

 

Practically, all of this means, that you must be technically proficient (i.e., Microsoft Office), and able to communicate effectively in-person and online (we use Teams).  

 

Based on your skills, interest and experience, the role could also include you supporting us in our client projects, for example with project management or ad-hoc content creation. 

  

All in all, it is super important that you will enjoy helping the team and our clients, and always look for ways of having an impact through the work that you do and what you bring as a person. 

  

What we offer

  

We are looking to start with a three-month half time contract (equalling 10 days per month) with a day rate of £100-125 depending on experience. All going well, the contract can be extended or changed into a permanent position.  

 

The work time is flexible, and as there are no phones etc to be answered, our working hours tend to be between 9.00 and 18.00. Let us know what works for you and we will plan around this.  

 

We always aim to have fun at work and regularly arrange activities such as cocktail making classes, games and other online team activities. 

 

We also offer development opportunities through internal coaching and mentoring.

 In advance of this, you will be asked to submit your CV. Please specify if there are any of the areas of work that we are looking for, where you have less experience. We all have areas that we excel in, and areas where we rely more on others. 

 

3.  Next we will invite you for a final interview – and potentially offer the role.

As a part of the final interview, we will further explore your practical experience and match this to the exact tasks we have, and we will carry out background checks (criminal and reference).
